How to Get Rid of Mucus in The Body – Mucus or phlegm is a thick, yellowish liquid produced naturally by glands located in the nose and throat. This constant phenomenon is barely discernible except when you’re sick. Here are some tips to get rid of an excess of mucus.

Why do we produce excess mucus?

It is important to distinguish a normal mucus from excess mucus.

  • Normal mucus. Every human being normally produces an average of one to two liters of phlegm per day. This can be used to moisten and clean the nasal passages while imprisoning bacteria and other irritants that may be harmful to the respiratory system.
